Interactive calculators and identification tools designed to help users perform practical engineering lookups and conversions.
Reference Library
Engineering explanations, dimensional references, tolerance concepts, thread terminology, and related technical guidance.
Standards Library
References to engineering standards and standards families used to provide context for technical definitions, dimensions, classifications, and related engineering concepts.
Engineering Data Products
Structured datasets, atlases, tables, and downloadable engineering resources generated from maintained source data.
How Engineering Data Is Classified
BoltLab organizes engineering data into four classifications:
1. Verified source data
Verified source data is data that BoltLab has explicitly associated with identified source material and has marked as verified within the dataset metadata.
2. Derived or calculated data
Derived or calculated data is produced from documented relationships or calculations rather than copied directly from a source table.
3. Reference/context data
Reference/context data provides explanatory or organizational information that helps users understand an engineering concept, standard, or relationship.
4. Approximate or non-authoritative values
Approximate or non-authoritative values are identified as such and are not presented as direct requirements of an engineering standard.
Standards References
BoltLab references standards to provide engineering context and organize technical information. A reference to a standard does not mean that BoltLab is the standards organization, publisher, or official representative of that standard.

Data Quality Metadata
Engineering data products may expose metadata such as dataset version, verification status, verification method, primary sources, last review date, coverage, row count, and generator build information. These fields provide traceability for the published dataset and help distinguish maintained data products from ordinary explanatory content.
Review and Maintenance
BoltLab treats engineering datasets and reference systems as maintained products rather than static pages. Dataset versions, source relationships, projections, generated outputs, and validation reports are used to support repeatable updates and technical consistency.
